How to Receive Jesus as Your Savior

1. God's Plan - Peace and Life

God loves you and wants you to have victory and peace, now and forever.Thomas Rudebeck, Christian illusionist film strip

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

2. Man's Problem - Sin and Separation

We've all sinned and fallen short of God's glorious plan. Sin separates us from God and leads to death and eternity in Hell.

"As it is written: 'There is no one righteous, not even one...' " Romans 3:10

"...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

3. God's Answer - Jesus Christ

God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from the penalty for our sins. Jesus died in our place and rose from the dead to give us eternal life.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:16-17

"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit..." 1 Peter 3:18

4. Your Response - Repent and Receive

Admit that you've sinned. Repent and accept Jesus' sacrifice on your behalf. Ask him into your life. Choose to obey God from now on. He will forgive you and be with you always.

"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 10: 9-10

"As the Scripture says, 'Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.' For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile - the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.' "
Romans 10: 11-13
